Romaco installs three blister lines at CPM ContractPharma

Romaco, a supplier of processing and packaging equipment, has installed three Noack blister N 921 lines at CPM ContractPharma facilities in Feldkirchen-Westerham and Bruckmühl to ramp up blister packaging production.

CPM ContractPharma, which belongs to Temmler Group, is engaged in manufacturing and processing of solid, semi-solid and liquid pharmaceutical dosage forms.

Romaco’s blister lines enable CPM to document the technical data easily.

The compatibility of these three systems from one machine to the next gives the company extra latitude when it comes to
planning and utilizing production capacities efficiently.

Romaco has integrated Promatic PC 4200 horizontal motion cartoner in one of the Noack blister lines, which can switch between continuous and intermittent operation.

CPM/Temmler Project Management Tasks and Technical Coordination Hermann Brandstetter said their goal was to configure all three Romaco systems with the same format parameters.

"The ergonomic machine design also supports quick and easy format changeovers," Brandstetter said.

"The switchable cartoner mode is the outcome of our extremely constructive collaboration with Romaco and together we came up with a way of making our packaging processes more reliable."
