MTS Medication Technologies appoints president

MTS Medication Technologies, a provider of medication adherence packaging systems, has named William Shields as its president, replacing Todd Siegel, who will continue to serve as the company's CEO.

Shields recently worked as a CEO of Artromick International, a developer of healthcare technology for acute and long-term care markets.

Prior to Artromick, he was senior vice president of strategic initiatives for AmerisourceBergen, one of the nation’s pharmaceutical service providers.

Siegel joined MTS in 1985, one year after its founding, and became president and chief executive officer in 1993.

Siegel said the needs of their business require additional levels of expertise and competence to ensure their future growth opportunities are optimized and that they effectively meet today’s challenges in ways that are meaningful and effective for their customers.
