MagneMotion To Introduce New Drug Transportation System

MagneMotion, a provider of assembly automation, material handling and transportation solutions, will introduce new MagneMover LITE system at Interphex, reported PMPNews.

MagneMotion said that MagnaMover LITE is a transport system which deploys the company’s QuickStick Linear Synchronous Motor technology for the precise movement, positioning and tracking of loads up to 2kg.

MagneMotion further claimed that MagneMover LITE increases throughput and efficiency in applications such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, sterile/aseptic filling, lab automation, and packaging, and is a better alternative to applications that use conventional belt and chain conveyors.

The system conveys product on small pucks at speeds of up to 2 meters per second. The control system knows the position of all pucks at all times and can accurately stop any puck, anywhere on the track, and the stop locations are easily changed using a few computer keystrokes. There is no need for additional mechanical components.

MagneMotion claimed that MagneMover LITE system is ideally suited for environments requiring clean operation and/or wash-down capability (IP65) and can also support ‘track and trace’ requirements as each puck is uniquely identified and constantly tracked throughout the system.
