DuPont develops coverall for laboratory, pharmaceutical markets

DuPont has developed a new Tyvek Labo coverall specifically for laboratory and pharmaceutical markets.

Dupont said the new coverall performs three functions – protects the wearer, protects the products and processes, and offers comfort to the wearer.

The Tyvek Labo coverall protects the wearer as it has an inherent barrier ensuring protection throughout the life of the garment and is antistatically treated to dissipate electrostatic charges when the wearer and garment are earthed.

Also, the smooth surface of Tyvek repels particles and offers a chemical permeation barrier to many low concentrated inorganic chemicals.

The Tyvek Labo coverall provides protection to products and processes as it contains continuous, strong, high density polyethylene fibres, which minimises the contamination from the wearer or the work environment.

The suit provides comfort to the wearer as brings freedom of movement without dislodging the positioning of the suit.

The suit also features a half-elasticated hood for best facial fit and a slip resistant shoe cover system to prevent the wearer from slipping.
