Document Security Systems receives new patents for brand-protection technology

Document Security Systems said it has been granted 17 new patents over the last one year for technologies in counterfeit prevention, product authentication and brand protection.

The company owns over 30 different patented and patent-pending technologies and products which protect valuable documents and printed products from counterfeiters and identity thieves.

The company has 3 manufacturing facilities which produce secure printing, packaging and plastic ID cards.

Document Security Systems said AuthentiGuard Prism – a covert brand protection and authentication technology where a hidden image is revealed with a proprietary lens provides a brand owner the ability to prove that a particular product package, label or document is authentic.

AuthentiGuard VeriGlow – a multi-layered, covert authentication technology is used for high security documents for government as well as labels and packages for the pharmaceutical industry.

AuthentiGuard Pantograph 5000 – the ‘warning word’ overt counterfeit deterrent technology protects checks, coupons, documents, labels and packaging from sophisticated scanning and copying systems used by modern counterfeiters.

AuthentiGuard technologies are used to protect pharmaceutical packaging & labels, vital records, ID cards and supply chain documents around the world.

Document Security Systems CEO Patrick White said counterfeiting and product diversion continues to increase uncontrollably on a global scale and DSS is combating this threat by developing highly sophisticated brand protection technologies that create overwhelming barriers for counterfeiters and diverters.
