California FDB inspects Sherpa Clinical Packaging facility

The California Food and Drug Branch (FDB) of the California Department of Public Health has completed GMP inspection of Sherpa Clinical Packaging.

Sherpa Clinical Packaging provides clinical trial material management services, including packaging, labeling, distribution and returns reconciliation, for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, in-vitro diagnostics and dietary supplement companies.

The Investigator is set to recommend the Food and Drug Branch to issue a license that will allow Sherpa Clinical Packaging to offer secondary packaging, storage and distribution of clinical trial materials.

Earlier this month, Sherpa opened the new facility adjacent to Althea Technologies, a contract development and manufacturing organization.

Sherpa and Althea have entered into a co-marketing agreement in March this year.
