Bellwyck opens new facility for US clinical services activities

Toronto-based Healthcare packaging manufacturer Bellwyck Packaging Solutions has opened a new facility in West Chester, Ohio, to carry out its US clinical services activities.

The opening of the new facility, which was independently audited and approved as cGMP compliant, represents the final phase of moving Bellwyck’s clinical services from the Patheon Reading and Blue Ash, Ohio sites.

Bellwyck acquired Patheon’s secondary clinical trial packaging and logistics business unit last year and will continue its work with Patheon to offer clinical packaging and distribution services to its customers.

Bellwyck Sales and Marketing senior vice president Greg Keizer said that the investment in West Chester reinforces the company’s commitment to the Clinical Services division as a key business unit, and will allow the company to expand the range of product offerings it has in the clinical packaging arena.

"This site is our first US location, and will enhance service levels to all Bellwyck’s clients conducting clinical research in the US," Keizer added.
