AcuTemp, Csafe combine businesses to form single entity

AcuTemp has acquired CSafe from AmSafe and has combined AcuTemp and CSafe into one company called CSafe.

The new company, CSafe, as result of the merger, is expected to be the only global provider of cold chain solutions including packaging, passive systems, active systems, with both airline and non-airline approval.

Csafe will also be the producer of controlled mobile refrigeration units for life sciences, healthcare, military and international disaster relief agencies.

The acquisition curtails AcuTemp and AmSafe joint venture, established in 2008 to develop a temperature-controlled management solution for the air cargo industry to transport temperature-sensitive products utilizing the AcuTemp thermal technology.

The new company will carry on with the CSafe, AcuTemp and ThermoCor branded products.

CSafe and AcuTemp president Brian Kohr said he lead both organizations since 2008 and from the beginning the goal was to create a company to offer life science customers a global cold chain provider for both active and passive solutions.

"AcuTemp and CSafe are grounded by the same guiding principles – to offer quality products and services centered on sincerity and business integrity that ensure successful shipments of our customer’s products, ” Kohr added.

”By combining resources, CSafe will now lead the industry as the global total cold chain solution provider."
